1. PROMOTING COMPANY
The undersigned company Molinari Italia S.p.A. with registered office in Rome (RM) at Viale delle Milizie, 12, Tax Code 03710791009, VAT Number 03710791009, in order to involve bartenders and professional figures from the mixology world in the creation of cocktails based on Molinari Extra and to promote the brand and product, intends to organize a prize competition called “Extra Challenge”.

4. TERRITORIAL SCOPE
Competition held in Italy with participation also open to other Countries, through digital methods.
5. PROMOTED PRODUCTS
Molinari brand and in particular the product “Molinari Extra”
6. ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
Participation in this competition is reserved for individuals who, at the date of participation, have reached eighteen (18) years of age and professionally carry out the activity of bartender.
7. MECHANICS OF THE COMPETITION
Competition participants must invent and present a cocktail with the product “Molinari
Extra”, as specified below in these regulations.
The competition provides for the awarding of a final prize and is structured in the following phases:
- Submission of the recipe through digital form completion and selection of the best recipes submitted
- Execution of semifinals among the bartenders who presented the best recipes
- Identification of finalists who will take part in the single final stage and Execution of the Competition Final
7.1 – PHASE 1: RECIPE SUBMISSION THROUGH FORM COMPLETION
To participate in the competition it is necessary to:
- Be of legal age and a resident in one of these countries: Italy, Greece, Sweden, Norway, Germany and United States
- Fill out the participation form accessible from the page www.molinariextrachallenge.com in all its
parts, entering correct and truthful data, by and no later than June 9, 2026 (included).
The information required by the form is as follows:
- Selection of the country/stage of membership/participation
- First name, Last name, Date of birth, Country of residence, email address of the participant
- Name of the cocktail, ingredients (specify quantities in ml), cocktail story, cocktail image
- Participants resident in Italian territory will be asked to indicate the semifinal for which they are applying among the 5 that will be held
The submitted cocktail recipe, to be considered valid, must meet the following criteria:
- Contain a quantity equal to or greater than 10 ml of Molinari Extra product
It is also specified that:
- Each bartender may participate with only one recipe.
- Once the recipe is submitted, it shall be considered final and not modifiable, nor integrable.
Failure to submit the recipe within the established timeframe will not allow completion of participation
in the competition.
The criteria used to evaluate the recipes during the form selection phase are indicated and described in
point 8.1 of these regulations.
7.2 – PHASE 2: EXECUTION OF SEMIFINALS
7.2.1 – LIVE APPROACH SEMIFINALS (ITALY)
The live approach semifinals will be held in Italy as described below:
Bartenders who have submitted the recipes that have been selected by the jury to take part in the
semifinal (10 recipes for each semifinal) will be contacted via email.
During the semifinal, which will be held in a dedicated location in each city, bartenders will be asked to
prepare the submitted recipe in front of a jury. The jury will taste and evaluate each recipe based on
five parameters: technique, taste, presentation, ingredients and creativity.
To participate in the semifinal it is necessary to:
- Receive via email the communication of qualification for the semifinal from the address MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it, the communication also includes the indication of the city where the bartender is set to participate in the semifinal.
- Confirm the participation within the indicated deadlines.
The execution of the semifinal will proceed as follows:
- The order of exit of competitors called to the station will be set through a draw and each competitor will be evaluated individually
- The exact same recipe submitted in the first phase, through the form, must be reproduced, without the possibility of making any modifications
- The person who creates the recipe must be the same person indicated during the form completion phase, without the possibility of delegating different persons.
- Participants will be asked to make 2 cocktails (with the same recipe)
- The competition time for each recipe is: 12 minutes total (of which 6 for preparation + 3 for station setup + 2 for presentation to the jury + 1 for tidying up)
- Upon exceeding the competition time, the competitor will not be eliminated but will be penalized by the jury
- Competitors must provide the products to make the recipes and will have available utensils and tools to be able to make all preparations, the list of which will be provided at the time of communication of participation in the final. The Molinari Extra product will be provided by the organization.
The criteria for evaluating recipes during the semifinal phase carried out with the live approach method are indicated and described in point 8.2 of these regulations.
7.2.2 – DIGITAL APPROACH SEMIFINALS
The digital approach semifinals, to be considered those held in participating Countries excluding Italy,
will follow the following execution method:
Bartenders who have submitted recipes selected by the jury to take part in the semifinal will be contacted
via email.
To participate in the semifinal it is necessary to:
- Receive the email communication of qualification for the semifinal from the address MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it
- Send the jury a video of the preparation of their recipe, which follows the requirements listed here:
- Maximum length of 8 minutes, of which a maximum of 6 dedicated to cocktail preparation and an additional time of 2 minutes for further presentation to the jury (intro)
- Complete framing of the bartender and station during the entire duration of cocktail preparation
- Absence of cuts, clip editing or post-production of any kind
- The video must be sent by Email (to the address MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it) exclusively in response to the received email communication of qualification for the semifinal.
- The email must contain the following information: first name, last name, date of birth, Country of residence and region, cocktail name, ingredients (specify quantities in ml), cocktail story
At the end of the useful period for sending their video of the proposed cocktail preparation, the jury
will analyze the received clips and decree the finalists from each involved Country.
The criteria for evaluating recipes during the semifinal phase carried out with the digital approach
method are indicated and described in point 8.3 of these Rules.
The ranking of each country will be sent to semifinalist bartenders at the end of the finalist recipe
selection phase. Bartenders who will be called to participate in the international final, described in
point 7.3 of these rules, will be contacted via email from the address MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it
7.3 – PHASE 3: EXECUTION OF THE FINAL
The Final will be held at Acquaroof Terrazza Molinari at via Del Vantaggio, no. 14, in Rome, in October
2026. The date will be communicated subsequently through the website dedicated to the Challenge; in case
of variations from what is indicated above, timely communication will be sent to competitors via
email.
The competition involves the live preparation of one’s own recipe proposal at a designated bar
station, branded for the occasion with the brand logo. Each recipe will be tasted by the jury, which will
evaluate the cocktails based on five parameters: technique, taste, presentation, ingredients and
creativity.
It is specified that:
- The order of exit of competitors called to the station will occur through a draw and each competitor will be evaluated individually
- The exact same recipe submitted in the first phase, through the form, must be reproduced, without the possibility of making any modifications
- The person who creates the recipe must be the same person indicated during the form completion phase, without the possibility of delegating different persons.
- Participants will be asked to make 2 cocktails (with the same recipe), one intended for tasting by the jury and the other for creating photo and video content
- The competition time for each recipe is: 12 minutes total (of which 6 for preparation + 3 for station setup + 2 for presentation to the jury + 1 for tidying up)
- Upon expiration of the competition time, the competitor will not be eliminated but will be penalized by the jury
- Competitors must independently obtain the products to make the recipes and will have available utensils and tools of the trade to be able to make all preparations, the list of which will be provided at the time of communication of participation in the final. The Molinari Extra product will be provided by the organization.
The criteria for evaluating recipes during the final phase are indicated and described in point 8.4 of
these Rules.
At the end of the competition, when all competitors have completed the test and had their cocktails
tasted, the jury may decree the winner of the final prize.
8. EVALUATION CRITERIA
The illustrated evaluation criteria are structured in such a way as to guarantee equality and
impartiality of judgment during each of the different phases of the Extra Challenge.
Therefore, they are adapted to each of the execution methods of each phase. Equality of judgment is always
guaranteed at the level of direct comparison.
8.1 – FORM SELECTION CRITERIA
In the first recipe selection phase, the submitted cocktails will be evaluated as follows:
- INGREDIENTS: 50% – Evaluation of ingredient choice and their interaction
- PRESENTATION: 30% – Evaluation of the cocktail presentation description
- CREATIVITY: 20% – Evaluation of cocktail creativity
Should a participant selected for semifinal access be unable to take part, they are required to give formal communication thereof, by sending an email to MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it, within and no later than the deadline of 5 working days from the date of receipt of the communication of admission to the semifinal phase.
In case of withdrawal, forfeiture or supervening impossibility of participation by one or more semifinalists, the organization (promoter and delegated entity) reserves the right to proceed with their replacement through ranking scrolling, according to the order of merit defined in the selection phase.
8.2 – LIVE APPROACH SEMIFINALS EVALUATION CRITERIA
In the live approach semifinals, judgment will be expressed based on the following criteria:
- INGREDIENTS: 25% – Evaluation of ingredient choice and their interaction
- TECHNIQUE: 25% – Evaluation of style, correct execution and conformity with the submitted recipe
- PRESENTATION: 20% – Evaluation of the cocktail presentation speech
- CREATIVITY: 20% – Evaluation of cocktail creativity
- TASTE: 10% – Evaluation of taste
At the end of the competition at each stage, when all competitors have completed the test and had their cocktails tasted, the jury may decree which semifinalists from that stage will participate in the final.
Should a tie situation occur in the total scores, the highest ingredient evaluation will prevail; in case of further tie, it will be the evaluation given regarding technique; in case of further tie, the presentation evaluation judged as highest will prevail.
Should a participant selected for final access be unable to take part, they are required to give formal communication thereof, by sending an email to MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it, within and no later than the deadline of 5 working days prior to the date of the final.
It is understood that a shortlist of candidates eligible for reinstatement will be prepared. In case of withdrawal, forfeiture or supervening impossibility of participation by one or more bartenders selected as finalists, the organization (promoter and delegated entity) reserves the right to proceed with their replacement through scrolling of said shortlist, according to the order of merit defined in the selection phase.
8.3 – DIGITAL APPROACH SEMIFINALS EVALUATION CRITERIA
Evaluations of videos sent by semifinalists from Countries adhering to the digital approach method will occur according to the following parameters:
- INGREDIENTS: 30% – Evaluation of ingredient choice and their interaction
- TECHNIQUE: 25% – Evaluation of style, correct execution and conformity with the submitted recipe
- PRESENTATION: 25% – Evaluation of the cocktail presentation speech
- CREATIVITY: 20% – Evaluation of cocktail creativity
Should a tie situation occur in the total scores, the highest ingredient evaluation will prevail; in case of further tie, it will be the evaluation given regarding technique; in case of further tie, the presentation evaluation judged as highest will prevail.
Should a participant selected for final access be unable to take part, they are required to give formal communication thereof, by sending an email to MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it, within and no later than the deadline of 5 working days prior to the date of the final.
It is understood that for each participating Country a shortlist of candidates eligible for reinstatement will be prepared. In case of withdrawal, forfeiture or supervening impossibility of participation by one or more bartenders selected as finalists, the organization (promoter and delegated entity) reserves the right to proceed with their replacement through scrolling of said shortlist, according to the order of merit defined in the selection phase.
8.4 – FINAL EVALUATION CRITERIA
The final judgment will be composed as follows:
- TASTE: 30% – Evaluation of taste
- TECHNIQUE: 25% – Evaluation of style, correct execution and conformity with the submitted recipe
- INGREDIENTS: 20% – Evaluation of ingredient choice and their interaction
- PRESENTATION: 15% – Evaluation of the cocktail presentation speech
- CREATIVITY: 10% – Evaluation of cocktail creativity
Should a tie situation occur in the total scores, the highest taste evaluation will prevail; in case of further tie, it will be the evaluation given regarding technique; in case of further tie, the ingredient evaluation judged as highest will prevail.
9. PRIZE
The winner will be entitled to an admission ticket valid for the entire duration of the international event Gulf Bar Show 2027, and access to experiences related to the bartending world in the city of Dubai. Should the current geopolitical conflicts persist, undermining the safety of the initiative, the destination will be replaced. Destinations of equal value and that guarantee an equal experience will be considered.
The prize includes:
- travel logistics (round-trip transfers)
- accommodation
- the participation of an accompanying person, who will be entitled to an admission ticket valid for the entire duration of the same event chosen by the winner, coverage of travel logistics and accommodation under the same conditions.
9. TOTAL PRIZE POOL
Given the value of the prize indicated above, the total value of the Competition prize pool is equal to approximately Euro 4,500.00 VAT included.
10. METHODS OF AWARDING AND DELIVERY OF THE PRIZE
The prize will be delivered to the winner at the end of the proclamation on the day of the competition
and in any case following the correct completion of a prize acceptance form.
Failure to complete the waiver form results in exclusion from the win and assignment of the prize to the
Fondazione Angelo e Mafalda Molinari ETS with headquarters at Via Aurelia Nord km 75,300 00053
Civitavecchia -RM- Tax Code 91051390580. It is specified that all finalists must give their consent for
the use of their image and data in the communications of the Promoting Company.
11. ADVERTISING
These rules may be consulted online at the website www.MolinariExtraChallenge.com. The advertising of the event will be in accordance with these rules and will be communicated through all digital channels available to Molinari, by mailing, on external websites. The event will be communicated to those entitled in forms that the promoting company deems appropriate, respecting what is cited within the rules.
12. DECLARATIONS
In case of communications via email in all phases of the competition, the Promoting Company and the Delegated Entity assume no responsibility if:
- the mailbox is full;
- the indicated email is incorrect or incomplete;
- there is no response from the host connected to the winner’s email address used after sending the win notification email;
- the mailbox is disabled/unreachable at any time during the competition period (by way of example and not exhaustively: inactive, deactivated or expired email box);
- the indicated email is entered in a blacklist.
Participants, upon submission of the recipe, related photo and of video in the case of digital approach semifinal, must approve the specific waiver declaring and guaranteeing:
- consent to the use of their personal data according to the purposes indicated in these rules;
- to be the author of the recipe and/or to be the exclusive and legitimate holder of all copyright and exploitation rights, including economic, of each photograph, therefore to possess all reproduction rights;
- to have, in the case of photos, acquired from legitimated third parties all image rights and/or third party rights, in general, for what is portrayed;
- that nothing submitted is contrary to legal provisions or in violation of intellectual property rights, moral rights, copyright or rights of personal data protection of third parties, publication rights and in general respects what is established by copyright law (Law April 22, 1941 no. 633) and subsequent amendments and additions;
- to be responsible for the content of their works, holding harmless and keeping the promoting company and its delegates indemnified from any claim and/or action by third parties and that they will be required to compensate, from any harmful consequence, including any legal costs, even of an out-of-court nature, that the promoting company and its delegates should suffer as a consequence of the violation of the above;
- to be aware that by sending the photo the participant grants free of charge to Molinari Italia S.p.A. the right to use, adapt, distribute, publish and reproduce in any form and manner the works without having to cite the author of the recipes and photographs each time;
- to authorize Molinari Italia S.p.A. to publish their recipes and related photos on the website www.molinari.it, on social networks Facebook, Instagram and on the web in general (also other websites not owned by Molinari Italia S.p.A.);
- to authorize Molinari Italia S.p.A. to the economic use of their recipe in every form and manner, within the limits and for the effects established by law, renouncing in this regard any present and future claim.
Participation in the competition is subject to full acceptance of the rules, published on the website www.MolinariExtraChallenge.com; therefore Molinari may, at its sole discretion, not accept participations whose content contravenes the rules.
All participations will be subject to controls at sole discretion.
A guarantee equal to 100% of the value of the prizes at stake has been provided in favor of the Ministry of Economic Development as required by Art. 7 D.P.R. 43/2001.
13. UNCLAIMED, REFUSED OR UNASSIGNED PRIZES
Prizes not claimed or not assigned within the deadlines provided by these regulations will be donated to the Fondazione Angelo e Mafalda Molinari ETS with headquarters at Via Aurelia Nord km 75,300 00053 Civitavecchia -RM- Tax Code 91051390580. In any case, the provided prize may not be converted in any way, for example into money or different goods.
14. RIGHT OF RECOURSE ON PRIZES
The organization renounces the right of recourse for prizes paid to winners, pursuant to art. 30 D.P.R. no. 600/1973.
15. PRIVACY
Personal data collected through participation in the competition will be processed pursuant to
Legislative Decree 196/03 according to the privacy policy available on the website https://www.molinari.it/privacy-policy.
Participants’ data will also be communicated and used for communications and operations relating to
the competition and the award and delivery of prizes.
The participant will be informed of the methods of processing their data before registration for the
competition.
The data controller is the company Molinari Italia S.p.A. with registered office in Rome (RM) at Viale
delle Milizie, 12, VAT Number 03710791009.
The processing will be carried out, in compliance with Legislative Decree 196/03 (“Privacy
Code”), exclusively by electronic means by subjects, all processors, employees of Molinari Italia
S.p.A. and of the company 2night S.p.A, provider of the services necessary for the management of the
Competition.
Each interested party may exercise, at any time, pursuant to art. 7 of the D.L. on Personal Data
Protection, access to their data, correct it, request its deletion, transformation into anonymous form,
completely free of charge, by sending an email to MolinariExtraChallenge@2night.it.
